Halloween 2010

Three projects completed

It's nearly Christmas in August at the store...so here are a couple of projects I have completed and also a bag I made for Mary Elizabeth to hold Henry's items as they go off to visit family.

This first one is titled...'and to all a good night' with Santa and his reindeer flying through the air. I got the window, which works perfectly with my embroidery, last month at Canton...love it.

This lil' turkey is titled...'Who Me?' I'll try to add...'Ho, ho the mistletoe' and 'All bundled up' at another time...patterns from Little Quilts2.

And this is a charm party tote using fabrics left over from the quilt Diane and I made for Henry. I am hoping Mary Elizabeth will send me a picture since I forgot to take one before I gave it to her.

They're growing...

It won't be long now before they fly off...Momma and Daddy are feeding many times at day.

There are at least four little ones in the birdhouse on the front porch...this one was stepping all over the others trying to make sure when Mommy arrived, he'd get the first snack.

Award ceremony-First grade

Julian had his award ceremony this morning...his folder is full of several of them including receiving a ticket to Six Flags.

Special Treat-seeing 4 of the grandkids

Eric had the girls this wkend so they came up to visit the family. I was only able to visit with them a bit on Sunday morning before they headed back home. Funny story, since they are in-between houses, I had a VCR I wasn't using and some tapes that I sent home with Eric to entertain the girls in the little apt. Eric called me up as soon as he got home, and asked what kind of joke I was trying to pull. I sent a DVD player and VCR tapes...I could hear Evie screaming in the background...where's my movie...it broke my heart.
Alex had just returned from his six wks in Singapore...Tate kept saying, 'Bubba, you really came back...I am so happy.'

Had lunch with Meg and the boys this past weekend to celebrate Julian's 7th birthday. We met at California Pizza...yumyum.

Yes, this is about as much decorating as I got done for Easter this year...if I had panned around the room, you would see that Christmas is still quite evident here at my house. In case you can't zoom into the picture...yes, I actually made 'Macaroons', and they are very tasty if I do say so myself. The kids were here from TN this past week for spring break and were able to play, visit, celebrate Bubba's 40th, golf, bowl, shop, sew and just have a great time. Yesterday was the first day of spring but I think Mother Nature forgot to set her clock forward. This is what I woke up to this morning.

Here's my house on the way to work this morning

Yes, we had snow today. There was twice as must snow when I got home but I was too busy putting the car in the carport and then the electricity had been out and only been back on for a hour and a half...so happy...and then the TV satellite is out...but all is well and I am all snug in the house now...schools are closed tomorrow so we'll see if work is. Happy snow.
